What mods can I add to my porsche 944 turbo to add as much power and handling as possible for a low budget?

porsche
megasword33 asked:

Everybody says that the 944 turbo has the potential of being blindingly fast if modded. What are the best performance for the money mods I can add for a budget of around $1500? I hear that the 944 turbo has all this potential because it was a race car: so what was the difference between the race car and the street car in terms of engine mods? How can I put it in “race tune”?

Is Porsche the be all, end all, when it comes to mass produced high performance

porsche
Philladelphia asked:

I can’t think of a better sports car. The higher end exotics start to charge more money just for the sake of being more expensive. But Porsche can really deliver when it comes to high performance and just having a fun car to drive.
The Chevy can’t hold a candle to the Porsche. It’s a far cry. How can you compare it to a front engined vehicle? It’s not in the same class of car.

porsche

If you can do the work yourself does it cut maintenance costs drastically? Or are the high prices in parts?

The Range Rover Sport Limo Vs. the Porsche Cayenne, Which is Better

porsche
Amar Shah asked:

The Range Rover Sport Limo and the Porsche Cayenne are rated among the best limos that will soon rule the limo rental industry. The Range Rover Sport Limo is already taking over at lighting’s speed. So it is definitely the limo that will give you all the comfort that you may need on your important day. Let’s compare these two limos and see which will stand out as the best to hire on this day that you have been planning for.

The Range Rover Sport Limo. For those who know the regular Range Rover Sport, the limo will really be a good choice for you. It is a combination of class and extravagance. It is a strong limo that is capable of tackling any kind of task that it is assigned to. Most of the people would like a limo that will not disappoint them in this special day. The Range Rover Sport Limo is not ready for this.

The Range Rover Sport is one limo that you cannot finish counting all the features that it has. Some of them include a magnificent four wheel drive, space, lovely colours, and exciting packages too keep you merry all the way to your destination. You will not even realize that you have already arrived.

The Porsche Cayenne limo. No matter what the battle be, the Porsche Cayenne limo can not out do the Range Rover Sport Limo. Although the Porsche Cayenne has its own goodies, the Range Rover Sport Limo has more to offer. The Porsche Cayenne is not ready to tackle any kind of road that any road might throw. This limo also does not possess enough space like the Range Rover Sport Limo. So if you are having group party the Porsche Cayenne is not ideal for such a purpose. The limo is also common so if you want to ooze uniqueness, the Porsche Cayenne will not give you this. It has to be alone on the road for it to earn you attention. The Range Rover Sport Limo, if put together on the road with the Porsche Cayenne, people will tend to notice the Range Rover Sport Limo than the Porsche Cayenne limo.

The Range Rover Sport Limo is made using the latest technology and this will ensure that it is stable and quiet throughout the trip. The music in this limo is also the best that your ears can hear and it is also soothing. If you would like to relax and enjoy every bit of the party, the Range Rover Sport Limo’s seats offer the best comfort. You won’t get tired of sitting down.

The Range Rover Sport Limo also appeals to those who would like to show off their money. This is because it is expensive to hire it. The quality of the Range Rover Sport Limo will give value for your money. You will get more than you expect. The beautiful lightings will set the mood for whatever the occasion.

The Porsche Cayenne limousine is not about to catch up with the Range Rover Sport Limo. The Porsche Cayenne limo is not ready to give some of these features. Not unless it is reloaded. The Range Rover Sport Limo is also among the fleet of limos that are threatening to withdraw the dominance of the Hummer H2 limo. This shows how the Range Rover Sport Limo is by far better than the Porsche Cayenne. Can the Porsche Cayenne limo really compete with the hummer h2 limo? If it can’t then it’s also not possible with the Range Rover Sport Limo.

Why not have limo hire Manchester, limo hire Surrey or limo hire Birmingham.

Car Leasing Special: 2011 Porsche Cayenne: a Second Look

porsche
Monica Scott asked:

The new 2011 Porsche Cayenne has enchanted photographers and car enthusiasts as it shredded off its tight SUV makeup and put on a new wagonlike appearance with a lower, to-the-ground body. There are some highlighted features for the car: not so upright windshield, low roof, B and C pillars that are blacked out, and D pillars that slope.

Based on captured photos of the car model, it is touted as more of evolution, not revolution. The 2010 Cayenne is sporting looks that is prototypical to its big brother Panamera, which is still on blueprint. The two models are expected to share the same factory at Liepzig, Germany.

Porsche was the initiator in the market for the SUV vehicle architecture. This was developed between Volkswagen and Audi. The original Cayenne was released 2002, a year ahead of VW Touareg and four years ahead of Audi Q7.

The replacement design for the SUV models was a shared project between Porsche and Volkswagen that Porsche pushed to expedite. In this light, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne is expected to be launched first half of 2010 while the second-generation Touareg will have its first appearance until late 2010 at the earliest. Porsche great man Wendelin Wiedeking, as reported by Automobilwoche, has been observed to have increasing control on the Volkswagen group for rushing up projects beneficial for Porsche while setting up VW at a disadvantage. Audi, on the other hand, has intended to keep its Q7 model SUV until 2013.

It has been noted that Wiedeking in January 2006 expressed to the Volkswagen Board his hopes of speeding up the creation of the Cayenne since the sales for the gas-guzzling SUVs have plummeted due to the increasing fuel price. With its new model for the revamped line-up, car owners can enjoy fuel-efficient engine, a hybrid model, as well as a diesel.

Short History of Porsche Company

porsche
Oswaldo Campbell asked:

Nowadays people are very interested in the cars. One of the most popular and impressive cars is Porsche. This article will present short history of this car. Ferdinand Porsche is well known as car engineer. He had many patents and developed ideas for creation of tanks and airplanes. In 1920 he had an appointment with engineers from Mercedes – Benz. After this appointment he set up new engineering workshop. He has constructed Volkswagen.

Several years later he began to work with the idea of the second car with his son, Ferry Porsche. This new car had name Porsche 356. This car had much in common with Volkswagen. New car had the same four – cylinder engine. It was not sport car and maximum speed was about 140 km/h. But the Porsche 356 had attractive and wonderful appearance. For the production of the car was used the same techniques and design as for VW Beetle. In several years this style became very popular, especially for sport cars and received the name “fastback”.

The next Porsche car was Porsche 911. This car is very recognizable. It has attractive bonnet and “frog eye” headlights. The waistline is straight and the windscreen is wide. This car has much in common with BMW 1500 from technical and functional point of view. But the stylistic of Porsche is unusual. During the 1970 – 1980 the Porsche Company was almost in disaster. But two models – 924 and 928 returned the fame to the company. These to models are examples of new style and concept.

During the 90`s the models became more classic and it was an advantage for company. The production of cars became very profitable. The Porsche car presents the best combination of price and quality for racing and sport models. One of the last successful models of Porsche is the Porsche Boxter.

Porsche Snubs Detroit Auto Show

porsche
Mike Bartley asked:

Porsche AG said last Monday it will pull out of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the largest in the United States industry, in favor of marketing efforts that more directly reach potential buyers. The luxury sports car manufacturer intends to concentrate on shows where it has more customers. The automaker plans to focus on shows in regions where it has more customers, spokesman Tony Fouladpour said.

Fouladpour said that Porsche gets better results when it spends its marketing dollars getting prospective customers into vehicles - such as at performance-driving lessons held at local dealerships than at events such as auto shows. “People are much more apt to buy if they drive the cars,” he added.

Instead of having displays at many auto shows, Porsche decided to put a greater emphasis on personal marketing activities, such as local events where customers can test drive vehicles, said Fouladpour. “What we find typically is that the more people drive our cars, the more likely they are to buy them,” he noted.

In 2006, Porsche sold 290 cars in Michigan, compared with 8,827 in California, 4,177 in Florida and 2,172 in New York. The decision is not intended as a snub to Detroit and the region, said Fouladpour, noting that Porsche is supporting the revived Grand Prix race later this year.

The North American office of Porsche said that it is re-evaluating its presence at traditional auto shows and wants to focus resources on interacting directly with potential Porsche customers to offer efficient performance like the Flowtech. “As a media showcase for new products, the Detroit auto show is clearly the premier international auto show in North America,” said David Pryor, the company’s vice president of marketing, in a statement. “Still, as Porsche strives to seek new, more personal ways to directly reach out and communicate to its potential customer base we need to look beyond the traditional consumer auto show - even ones that are highly renowned in the industry. For us, this is a strategic business decision that allows us to allocate our limited marketing resources more effectively.”

The German automaker said that over the past two years or so, it has cut back from exhibiting at 23 North American auto shows to participating in nine such events. The news did not produce any buzz at Monday’s golf outing for members of the Detroit Automobile Dealers Association who are also sponsors of the North American International Auto Show.

“There were no comments at all,” said Carl Galeana, a Chrysler dealer and senior co-chairman of the 2008 auto show. “Porsche has been very, very good to us over the years. It’s strictly a strategic marketing decision and I certainly respect it.” Galeana said taht, if anything, Porsche’s withdrawal is a chance for other auto show exhibitors to spread out. “It’s a great opportunity for us.”

Galeana said that he regrets Porsche’s decision to leave and would welcome it back for future shows. The show is run by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association. “It’s a shame because they’re an iconic brand, but we respect their decision,” Galeana said. “Certainly, they leave as friends. We hope to get them back someday.” Accordingly, next year Porsche in North America will only appear at trade shows in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Toronto.

The Detroit Auto Dealers Association has been pushing for a new or the expanded Cobo Center to host the show, but Porsche’s departure is unrelated, he said. “I would love to say if we had more space Porsche wouldn’t have left,” Galeana said. “That really isn’t the case. This is a marketing decision based on their sales.”
